JEN McCARTNEY

Jen McCartney is an LA-based writer, originally from Dallas, Texas. She was a co-producer on Solar Opposites, an animated show for Hulu, where she wrote for four seasons. Previously, she wrote for The Big Show Show, a Netflix family multi-cam about a retired wrestler and his family. She has done rewrites and punch-ups on a number of feature projects for Warner Bros Animation, including Merry Little Batman, which was released on Prime Video in 2023. She has also written and performed on house sketch teams at the Upright Citizens Brigade and iO West. Her sketch comedy videos have gotten millions of views and been featured on Buzzfeed, Upworthy, WhoHaHa and more. After her mom passed away, she finished her final book project, a nonfiction picture book called Revolutionary Mary that was published in 2025 through Roaring Brook Press (Macmillan). In her spare time, she loves to do pottery. Her signature piece is a mug that says "My Tummy Hurts."
